Privacy notice

Last updated October 30, 2026

Virtual Traffic Lights LLC (“we”) runs this website. This notice explains what we collect through it, why, and what you can ask of us.

What we collect

• When you send the contact form: your name, work email and firm, and your role and message if you give them.
• When you visit: a record of each visit: the pages viewed, which parts of the page came on screen, how long you were active on it, whether you played the film and how much of it you watched, whether you opened, started or sent the contact form, the site that sent you here, your browser, device type and approximate location. It is collected with Umami Cloud, which sets no cookies and is designed not to identify you: it receives your IP address with each visit to work out the approximate location, and does not keep it.
• Server logs: Google, which hosts this website through Firebase Hosting, receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages, and may keep them in standard logs for security and to keep the site running.

Why

We use what you send through the form only to reply to you and to discuss how we might work together. We use the visit statistics only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Who receives it

• Google LLC hosts this website (Firebase Hosting) and serves it from data centres around the world.
• Formspree (formspree.io) receives the contact form, stores it and emails it to us.
• Umami Software, Inc. hosts the visit statistics, in the United States.
• InMotion Hosting, our email provider, holds the messages Formspree forwards to us and any email you send us.
• Within our company, form messages are read by the people who answer enquiries.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for 12 months, unless we start working together, in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship needs. Visit records are kept for as long as our Umami plan keeps them.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to privacy@virtualtrafficlights.com. Blocking scripts in your browser stops the visit statistics; the site still works without them.

Changes

If this notice changes, we update this page and the date at its top.
